
Bulls Conclude Successful Weekend in Texas

SAN MARCOS, Texas - The University at Buffalo men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.
The women's competition was highlighted by Christina Wende, who placed 3rd in the women's triple jump in an outdoor personal best mark of 12.71-meters/41'8.5". Her distance ranks first in the MAC, and second in UB school history.
In the women's high jump, eight place through 19th all tied with a mark of 1.66-meters/5'5.25". Zaria Fuller tied for 8th place, clearing her first attempt at the height. Zahra Amos placed 18th, clearing the height on her last attempt.
Tal Hamel started the day in the men's 400-meters with a season's best 47.94, placing 13th of 35 competitors. His mark ranks second in the MAC. Chineme Ononiwu set another personal best in the men's 110-meter hurdles with his time of 14.26, placing 9th of 48 competitors. His time ranks third in the conference and moves him to fourth all-time in UB school history. Michael Parks placed 25th of the 48-man field in 14.72.
