Bulls Earn First MAC Win, Defeat Binghamton 5-2

BINGHAMTON, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team picked up their first win of Mid-American Conference play on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls defeated SUNY rival Binghamton, 5-2.
The Bulls took the doubles point to get things started. UB's top squad of Simon Wibler and Finn Macnamara won 6-4 while Daniils Snaiders and Aleksandr Kalinin won their contest at third doubles, 6-3, clinching the point.
Kalinin picked up the first win in singles for Buffalo as he claimed a 7-5, 6-3 win at first singles to put UB ahead 2-0. Wibler scored a 6-2, 6-3 victory at third singles and the Bulls clinched the match as Theodoros Mitsakos won at fifth singles, 7-5, 6-2.
Snaiders won his match at sixth singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Up next, the Bulls open a five-match homestand beginning on Friday, March 24 as they welcome Toledo to Miller Tennis Center at 1pm.
