Bulls Travel to Kalamazoo for a Matchup Against the Broncos

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (10-12, 4-5 MAC) will face the Western Michigan Broncos (6-16, 2-7 MAC) on Saturday afternoon. The game will tip-off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN3 with Evan Stockton on play-by-play, Andre Ricks as the analyst, and Lexi Ayala on the sideline. Josh Whetzel will be on the radio call. The Bulls are coming off an 81-64 loss to the top-seeded Akron Zips on Tuesday evening. Curtis Jones recorded his eighth 20-point performance of the season, finishing with 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Isaiah Adams scored 13 points on the night as Kidtrell Blocker recorded five assists.
The matchup between the Buffalo Bulls and Western Michigan Broncos will be the 33rd all-time meeting. Buffalo leads the series, 19- 13. The Bulls are 8-7 on the road against the Broncos. Buffalo's last road loss to WMU came on Jan. 23, 2016, in a 91-71 decision. The game will feature the two best rebounding teams in the MAC. While at home, The Broncos are 5-4 at home and average 74.0 ppg at University Arena. Western Michigan was selected to finish eighth in the MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll receiving 66 points. They also received one MAC Tournament Champion vote. Their leading scorer in Lamar Norman Jr. is fifth in the MAC with 18.0 ppg. Markeese Hastings is second in the conference with 10.3 rpg.
