
Bulls Finish in Second Place at MAC Championships

OXFORD, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (3-3, 3-2 MAC) finished in second place at the Mid-American Conference Championships with a total score of 641 points. The Bulls finished with 16 medals, seven All-MAC honorees, and four major conference honors.
Abbey Malmstrom claimed bronze in the championship final of the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:55.57, with Mia Naccarella taking fifth in 1:57.83.
In the 100 freestyle championship final, the Bulls finished 1-2 on top of the podium. Toni Naccarella took gold with a time of 48.28-seconds, and Sawyer Bosley took silver in 49.77-seconds.
Taeghen Brezovski and Kasey Keaney finished second and fourth, respectively, in the 200 breaststroke B Final, with times of 2:17.31 and 2:17.84.
Three Bulls qualified for the 200 butterfly championship final, with Amanda Neeb taking bronze in 1:58.69. Clarice Fisher finished fourth with a time of 1:58.92, and Nicole Aguilar finished seventh with a time of 2:00.62.
UB dominated the diving well, as Marialis Kwak took gold in the 3-meter dive with a score of 342.10, and Victoria Franz claimed silver with a score of 331.85.
The Bulls claimed silver in the 400 freestyle relay, as the team of Sawyer Bosley, Ellie Duley, Nicole Aguilar, and Toni Naccarella finished in 3:17.57.
MAC HONORS
Clarice Fisher and Nicole Aguilar earned Second Team All-MAC honors, with Toni Naccarella, Sawyer Bosley, Mia Naccarella, Victoria Franz, and Marialis Kwak earning the nod for First Team. Toni Naccarella was also named the conference's Outstanding Senior of the Year. Victoria Franz and Marialis Kwak earned Co-MAC Diver of the Year honors, and Russ Dekker was named MAC Diving Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season.
