Franz, Kwak Qualify for NCAA Championships in 1-Meter, 3-Meter Dive at NCAA Diving Zones

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – University at Buffalo divers Victoria Franz and Marialis Kwak qualified for the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with their scores in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive at the 2023 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
Day one of the competition featured the 3-meter dive. Franz, Kwak, and Patricia Arceri qualified for the finals. Franz finished third overall with a 12-dive score of 636.15, with Kwak finishing fifth with a score of 596.15.
Franz also finished third overall in the finals of the 1-meter dive on Tuesday with a 12-dive score of 572.05. Kwak finished 12th with a score of 532.35.
Franz will be making her second appearance at NCAA Championships, as she also competed at the 2022 NCAA Championships in the same two events. This will be Kwak's first NCAA Championships appearance.
This year's NCAA Championships are set to begin on Wednesday, March 15 and run through Saturday, March 18. The championships will be held in Knoxville, Tenn. at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The 1-meter dive will take place on Thursday, March 16 with the 3-meter dive to occur on Friday, March 17.
