RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced its 2026 Spring Scholar All-America Teams, recognizing the University at Buffalo swimming and diving team as one of 170 Division I women's programs to earn the honor.
The Bulls were named to the All-America list for the 29th consecutive semester. Teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or greater during the spring semester to earn the honor. The program has not only met that mark but exceeded a 3.50 grade point average in the past 11 semesters. The Bulls also ranked 17th in team grade point average (3.75) of the 170 Division I women's programs.
The program had four additional athletes earn Individual Second-Team All-America honors:
- Adele Melamud (Engineering)
- Presley Dorsett (Exercise Science)
- Mallory Hanna (Biomedical Engineering)
- Sophie Meuwissen (Biomedical Sciences)
- Maggie Meyers (Logistics, Materials & Supply Chains)
The Bulls were one of eight programs from the Mid-American Conference to earn the All-America honor.
In total, the CSCAA recognized 714 teams from 418 institutions for their outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester. Collectively, these teams represent 16,680 student-athletes from across all collegiate divisions.
The distinction represents the highest academic honor awarded by the CSCAA, recognizing programs that exemplify excellence in the classroom while competing at the highest levels of collegiate sport. The Scholar All-America designation includes collegiate swimming and diving programs nationwide from NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III, as well as NAIA and junior college and community college institutions.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
