Bulls Come Up Short at Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team had their five-match winning streak snapped on Friday afternoon as the Bulls fell at Youngstown State, 5-2, picking up a pair of wins in singles.
Youngstown State won the opening point in doubles play, picking up wins at first and third doubles. Pia Schwarz and Ambre Amat battled hard for a 6-4 win at second doubles.
In singles action, Amat kept her strong play going as she picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles. At first singles, Schwarz gave the Bulls their second point with a 6-1, 6-2 win but the Penguins won the remaining singles matches.
The Bulls have a quick turnaround as they return to action tomorrow afternoon, hosting Siena at Miller Tennis Center at 1:30pm.
