Bulls Host Roberts Wesleyan Before Four Game Roadtrip

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (0-2, 0-0 MAC) will host the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks (1-1, 0-0 ECC) on Wednesday evening. Howard Simon and Matt Mattia will be on the call on ESPN+ as Josh Whetzel and Bob Gaughan will be on 1400 AM over the airwaves.
LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday afternoon, it marked the first of two games as part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. Buffalo fell to South Alabama in their first ever meeting, 70-56. Sy Chatman led the team with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Kanye Jones finished with a career-high 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Freshman guard Anquan Boldin Jr. finished with his second game with two steals on Saturday against South Alabama. The freshman guard leads the team with four steals.
Lloyd McVeigh made his collegiate debut against the Jaguars. In his seven minutes of action, he snatched two rebounds.
ABOUT THE SERIES
The Bulls and Redhawks haven't met since the 1983-84 season. UB won on the road, 75-64 on Jan. 14, 1984. All-time, Buffalo is 2-0 against the Redhawks.

Isaiah Adams has started in all 34 games at Buffalo since joining the team last season.
This will be the Bulls' final home game in the month of November. They return home on Saturday, Dec. 2 against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies after four games away from Alumni Arena. It'll start with three games in Fort Myers, Fla. at the Gulf Coast Showcase from Nov. 20-22. On Nov. 29, the Bulls will play at James Madison.
Jonnivius Smith leads the MAC in offensive rebounds per game with 5.00. He is tied for 11th nationally.
UB hasn't started 0-3 since the 2003-04 season under Head Coach Reggie Witherspoon. Witherspoon was in his fifth season at the helm for the Bulls.

The Bulls will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. for this year's Gulf Coast Showcase. UB will open the tournament with a 7:30 p.m. tip against the Hofstra Pride on Monday, Nov. 20. On Tuesday, the Bulls will play either Louisiana or Wright State.
