Mandy Leigh Named MAC East Setter of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their weekly volleyball honors on Monday afternoon. Mandy Leigh was named MAC East Setter of the Week.
Mandy Leigh had an outstanding weekend for the Bulls against Akron and Ball State. Her performance allowed the Bulls to go 3-0 on the week and move to 9-2 and second place in the MAC. She totaled 169 assists, good for 13.00 per set, including a career-high 74 against Ball State on Saturday. She added two double-double against the Cardinals as she now has a team leading 14 on the season. Leigh finished with 11 kills, 169 assists, two aces, 33 digs, five blocks, and 15.5 points.
The program leader in weekly honors continues to bring home the accolades. This marks Leigh's sixth weekly honor of the season and 12th in her career. The Bulls have taken home at least one weekly award over the last eight weeks.
The Bulls are back in action on Friday as they'll battle the MAC leading Western Michigan Broncos (21-2, 11-0 MAC).
