Vassianna Klock Signs NLI for Cross Country and Track

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo cross country and track & field team announced the signing of Vassianna "Vassi" Klock on Monday morning. The program is excited about his national letter of intent as Klock will be competing for the Bulls cross country and track & field distance squad in starting in the 2022-23 campaign. She will be majoring in exercise science during her time at UB.
The Jordan Elbridge High School (Jordan, N.Y.) distance runner specialist comes with a bright future. In the 2021 cross country season, Klock showed great strength and development winning her league championship and placing 15th at the NYS Cross Country Championships. During the current 2022 indoor season, she has already dropped 11-seconds off her 1,500-meter run and set personal best marks in the 1,000-meter and 3,000-meter, as well. She brings an exciting level of commitment and enthusiasm that will have an immediate impact on the program.
"We are continuing to add to our exciting 2022 recruiting class," stated Head Coach Vicki Mitchell. "I cannot wait to work with and the rest of our prospects next year and beyond. Our staff continues to seek out the right student-athletes for our program and we are committed to developing each one to their fullest potential."
