
UB Tennis Set For Matches At Cleveland State

CLEVELAND, OH – The University at Buffalo men's and women's tennis teams will head to Cleveland State this weekend as the women will face the Vikings on Friday, followed by the men on Saturday.
The UB women's team enters the weekend with an 8-1 record following an off week. The Bulls had their eight match winning streak snapped before that with a 5-2 loss at Syracuse. Following the last weekend of action, Ambre Amat and Lolina Schietekat Sedas were named the MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
The CSU women are 6-4 on the season but have dropped their last two matches against Toledo and Cincinnati. In all, Cleveland State is playing seven schools from the MAC and the Bulls will be the fifth of those matches having already face Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), and Toledo.
On Saturday, the Bulls men will matchup with the Vikings. UB is coming off its first victory of the season, a 7-0 victory over St. Bonaventure last Saturday. The Bulls won two of three matches in doubles against the Bonnies, while winning all six singles matches, including five of those in straight sets.
The Cleveland State men's team is 1-7 on the year, defeating Duquesne for their first victory on Monday.
