BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team begins the second half of its stretch of six games in 12 days on Tuesday night as the Bulls head to Oxford, OH to face Miami (OH).
Buffalo is riding a six-game winning streak following Saturday's, 87-73 win over Western Michigan. Following a stretch of three wins in five days last week, senior Josh Mballa was named the MAC Player of the Week after he averaged 19.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
Mballa is also flirting with another career milestone as he enters Tuesday's game 27 points shy of 1,000 for his career, which would make him the fourth current Bulls to eclipse 1,00 career points.
Miami (OH) is coming off a 78-75 win over Northern Illinois this past Saturday, who happens to be Buffalo's opponent for the next two games after Tuesday. Overall, the RedHawks have won three of their last four games and are 8-6 at home this year.
Miami leads the series 27-25 as the RedHawks picked up a 91-81 win at Alumni Arena on Dec. 29. Mekhi Lairy scored 28 points in the game and Dae Dae Grant added 23. Josh Mballa was one of three Bulls to score 20 or more points in the contest with a team-high 26 points to go along with 17 rebounds.
