
Fair and McEvans Highlight MAC Postseason Awards

BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference announced their postseason awards on Tuesday, with Dyaisha Fair earning All-MAC First Team and All-Defensive Team honors, while Cheyenne McEvans was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Fair is UB's second straight All-Defensive Team honoree and the first Bull to earn First Team honors since Cierra Dillard in the 2018-19 season. The Bulls have now placed a rookie on the All-Freshman team in back-to-back years as Fair earned the honor last season.
After earning MAC Freshman of the Year honors a year ago, Fair has continued to excel as a sophomore, averaging 24.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.8 steals per game with a +1.8 assist to turnover ratio while shooting 80.7% from the free throw line.
The Rochester, NY native is currently ranked seventh in the nation in scoring (24.1 ppg) and also ranks in the top 25 in free throws made (130) and attempted (161), assists (114), steals (61), field goals made (173) and final points (531). She is one of only five players in all of Division I to average at least 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. She has scored in double figures 21 times this season, 18 times with 20 or more points, four times with 30+ points and is one of 13 players in all of Division I to have a recorded a triple-double.
McEvans has had an impressive start to her career at Buffalo. The Southfield, MI native has been a consistent presence for the Bulls on both ends of the floor, averaging 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 42.8% from the floor. She recorded a career-high 20 points in UB's win over Miami (OH) on March 3rd and has scored in double-figures 14 times, including seven straight games, while recording two double-doubles on the season.
