
Bulls Stampede by Bowling Green in 187-111 Win

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (4-0, 3-0 MAC) defeated the Bowling Green Falcons (1-3, 1-3 MAC) by a score of 187-111. UB had an all-around performance in both the pool and the diving well.
IN THE POOL
The Bulls were hot out of the gate as the team of Mia Naccarella, Katie Pollock, Jillian Lawton and Olivia Sapio would win the 200 medley relay in 1:43.74.
Freshman Marij van der Mast showed her versatility as she would win the 1,000 freestyle in 10:27.27.
Nicole Roitenberg won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.66 with Maddy Rogan just behind finishing in second-place in 1:55.67.
Lawton would also go on to win the 50 freestyle in 23.19-seconds, just shy of UB's top-10 results.
Perhaps the best performance of the day was the herd of Bulls in the 200 IM. Katie Pollock (first-place, 2:07.29), Lena Li (second-place, 2:09.74), Clarice Fisher (third-place, 2:10.32), Kasey Keaney (fourth-place, 2:10.98) and Jaidyn Wolfe (fifth-place, 2:13.58) would leave the Falcons in their dust as they would take the top-five placements.
To close out the day, Ellie Duley, Sapio, van der Mast and Lawton won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:28.30. Maddy Rogan, M. Naccarella, Roitenberg and Allison Stockwell finished in third in 3:34.34.
IN THE DIVING WELL
Victoria Franz was the lone Bull to compete in the 3-meter dive and she won the event with a score of 323.40. Her score was almost 60 points better than the runner-up. Franz would then go on and win the 1-meter dive with a score of 296.10. Patricia Arceri finished in fifth with a score of 220.48.
UP NEXT
The Bulls will be off until March 27 except for Toni Naccarella who will be competing at the NCAA Championships next week. Naccarella will be competing in the 50 and 100 freestyles at the championships. The championships will be held in Greensboro, N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
