
Toni Naccarella gets Set for NCAA Championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. - University at Buffalo women's swimmer Toni Naccarella is set to take the big stage at this year's NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. This year's championships will take place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. The first day of the championships is Wednesday, March 17 and will run through Saturday, March 20.
Naccarella has had a stellar 2020-21 season for the Bulls. This year alone she has set five top-10 times in program history. For the championships, Naccarella qualified to compete in the 50 and 100 freestyle events. The 50 freestyle is set for Thursday, March 18 with the 100 freestyle scheduled for the final day of the championships in Saturday, March 20. Naccarella's time in the 50 freestyle this season is 22.56 seconds, while in the 100 freestyle it's 48.54 seconds, good for third in the UB record books. She earned both these times at the Akron Last Chance Invite.
Live championship coverage will air on ESPN3 for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. ESPNU will air a two-hour show at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 6.
