Bulls Drop Doubleheader at #7 Louisiana Lafayette

Lafayette, LA – The University at Buffalo softball team dropped its doubleheader at Louisiana Lafayette on Friday. The Bulls dropped game one 7-0 and fell in the second game, 16-0.
The Bulls struggled to get their bats going in game one as they managed just three hits, singles by Alexis Matheney, Rachel Steffan and Alicia Peters. Kandra Lamb got the win for the Ragin Cajuns, allowing just one hit in five scoreless innings.
Ally Marcano allowed seven runs on nine hits in four and a third innings of work. Alexis Lucyshyn pitched one and a third innings of scoreless relief.
In game two, Buffalo had a chance to do some damage in the top of the third with the bases loaded but the Bulls stranded all three runners and it would be all ULL from there as the Ragin Cajuns scored 10 runs in the bottom of the inning to put the game out of reach.
The Bulls will be back in action on Saturday as they face Oklahoma State at 12pm before taking on LSU at 8pm on the SEC Network.
