
Men’s Tennis Set For A Pair Of Weekend Matches

BUFFALO, NY – Fresh of their first dual win of the year, the University at Buffalo men's tennis team will host Niagara at 11am on Friday morning before heading to State College to face Penn State on Saturday.
The Bulls are coming off a 7-0 win over St. Bonaventure this past Saturday afternoon to improve to 1-2 on the year. Niagara is 2-2 on the season as they had a pair of victories in the fall against Rider and Daemen. Since the spring began, Niagara has suffered a pair of losses, falling 5-0 to Ball State and 7-0 to Michigan State.
On Saturday, the Bulls will play Penn State, the third straight year they will be traveling to face the Nittany Lions. Last year, Penn State defeated Buffalo, 6-1. However, the Nittany Lions are just 1-2 on the season as they lost 4-1 to Kentucky and 4-2 to East Tennessee at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend before coming back to beat Cleveland State last Thursday, 4-3.
Friday's home match against Niagara will take place at the Miller Tennis Center, which is located at 5959 Sheridan Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221.
