
Bulls Fall At Nationally-Ranked Florida State, 6-1

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team fell 6-1 on Saturday to the #18 team in the nation as the Bulls dropped a contest to Florida State. UB had an opportunity in doubles, while it claimed a victory in singles action.
The Seminoles won at third doubles before Buffalo came back with a 6-4 win at second doubles courtesy of Matthew Johnson and Valdemar Holm. UB held a lead at first doubles, but was unable to hold on to it, falling 7-5.
All six singles matches ended in straight sets with senior Vilhelm Fridell scoring an easy 6-1, 6-1 victory at second singles over Loris Pourroy. Florida State had nationally-ranked players at both first and third singles, but Hao Sheng Koay managed to give the #82 player in the nation all he could in the opening set, before falling 7-5.
The Bulls return to action on Sunday morning when they face Tennessee Tech at 10am.
