Men’s Tennis To Head Down To The Sunshine State

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team will play a pair of matches this weekend in Tallahassee, FL as the Bulls will face Florida State on Saturday morning followed by a neutral site match with Tennessee Tech on Sunday. Both contests are scheduled for 10 am.

Buffalo is 2-3 on the season but hasn't played a match since Feb.8 when the Bulls faced Penn State. Following that weekend senior Hao Sheng Koay was named the MAC Singles Player of the Week.

Florida State enters the weekend with a 7-2 record and is 18^th in the country with their only two losses coming against Texas and Florida, who were the top two teams in the country at the time of their matches against the Seminoles. Florida State has two players nationally ranked in singles.

Tennessee Tech is 1-3 on the season, but two of those losses have come against Mississippi State and another against Wake Forest. Like UB, Tech was off last weekend and has not played since a 6-1 win over Appalachian State on Feb. 9. The Golden Eagles face Florida State on Saturday afternoon before meeting Buffalo on Sunday.
