
This Day in History: Bulls Close Out Old UB Stadium with Win over Hofstra

BUFFALO, NY – In the final game at "Old" UB Stadium on October 24, 1992, the Bulls' defense stood tall, limiting Hofstra to just 84 yards of total offense and minus 40 yards rushing, school records in both categories.
Alan Bell rushed for 151 yards and Cliff Scott added 121 and one TD as the Bulls rushed for 347 yards on the afternoon. Eric Polanski and Matt Prelewicz each added rushing TDs.
Defensively, UB tallied eight sacks, three by Rich Dadabo.
Prelewicz opened the scoring with a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Two second-quarter field goals (29, 48) by Mark Mozrall gave the Bulls a 13-0 lead at the half.
Prelewicz ripped off a 22-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to extend the UB lead to 20-0. After Hofstra scored a defensive touchdown, the Bulls answered right back with an 11-yard run by Scott to go ahead, 26-7.
Buffalo won three of their last four games in 1992 to finish the season with a 4-6 record.
