
Fair Named To Her Hoop Stats Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List

BUFFALO, NY β University at Buffalo women's basketball freshman guard Dyaisha Fair was named to the Her Hoop Stats Mid-Major Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List, the organization announced on Monday morning. Fair is the only freshman of the 15 players on the list.

The award recognizes the nation's best mid-major player in women's college basketball, the first such award in women's collegiate basketball.

The Rochester, NY native currently ranks third in the nation in scoring at 23.6 points per game, while also averaging 5.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.9 steals per contest. She also ranks third nationally in three pointers made per game (3.75) and fourth in field goal attempts (248). Fair has scored in double figures in 12 straight games, surpassing the 20-point mark ten times, while recording two double-doubles. She has also led the Bulls in scoring in ten of their 12 games.

Her Hoop Stats will announce the 10 semifinalists for the award on Monday, Feb. 3. From those 10 semifinalists, five finalists will be selected on Monday, March 9. Each of the five finalists will be considered for the award, with the winner being announced on Wednesday, April 1.
To be eligible for the award and watch lists, players must compete in one of the 25 conferences deemed to be "mid-major." Players are selected based on their on-court production in the 2019-20 NCAA season.
