
Caleb Covell Named Men’s MAC Athlete of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo men's cross country runner Caleb Covell was named Cross Country Athlete of the Week by the Mid-American Conference after his first place performance at the UB Stampede Invite. Covell finished the 8k race in 25:02.4 while winning by 18 seconds. The repeating UB Stampede Invite champion now holds the number two and three positions in UB's all-time top-10 performances in their annual 8k race.
The Rochester, NY native earned this honor twice last season, as well as Men's First Team All-MAC in 2018.
Covell and his teammates look to take this momentum to Boston, Mass. as they will compete in the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston College on Friday, September 20 at 3 p.m.
