Cross Country Announces 2019 Schedule

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo cross country teams and head coach Vicki Mitchell announced their 2019 schedule on Thursday.
The schedule features nine meets, including two at the Audubon Golf Course, the home of the Bulls.
"We are very excited about our schedule this fall," Mitchell said. "We have a few changes to previous years that I believe will allow our team to excel and be best prepared for the MAC Championships and the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships."
The Bulls will open the season on Aug. 30 at the Mel Brodt Collegiate Opener in Bowling Green, OH. Buffalo will then host the UB Stampede Invite on Sept. 13 before rounding out the month at the Coast to Coast Battle at Beantown, a strong national caliber competition that is run at Franklin Park, Boston MA.
In October, the Bulls will travel to the Paul Short Invite on Oct. 5 and the Penn State National Invite on Oct. 18 before returning to Buffalo for the Canisius Alumni Challenge on Oct. 19. Buffalo will then wrap up the regular season in Ithaca, NY for the Reif Memorial run on Oct. 25.
The postseason begins at the MAC Championships, hosted by Northern Illinois, in Dekalb, IL on Nov. 2. UB will then host the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships for the third straight year at the Audubon Golf Course.
"We have developed a championship level course, and are excited to again be hosting this elite competition," said Mitchell.
Qualifiers from the regional event will compete at the NCAA Championships the following week in Terre Haute, IN on Nov. 23.
