Cross Country Inks Evan Hilbert to NLI

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo cross country Head Coach Vicki Mitchell announced the signing of Evan Hilbert to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday morning. Hilbert will join the Bulls for the 2020 campaign after finishing off his high school career.
Hilbert attends St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, NY, where he earned Section VI Cross Country Runner of the Year honors and the Monsignor Martin League Champion. Hilbert will overlap one year at UB with his brother and All-MAC/All-Region performer William Hilbert. Majoring in business administration, Hilbert will continue to grow the strength of the UB Bulls Men's distance program. Under Coach Todd Witzleben's guidance, the UB Men's distance squad earned a program-best 3rd place finish at the MAC Championship, and nearly every school record on the track has been broken.
"We love to see the top local athletes staying close to home and taking pride in both Buffalo and our university," stated Associate Head Coach Todd Witzleben. "It's even better to continue a family legacy. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to help Evan achieve his potential."
