
Buffalo Offensive Line Earns Joe Moore Award Honorable Mention

Ten offensive lines from Power Five conference teams were named semifinalists, while UB and four other units were named to the honorable mention list.
Buffalo's offensive line has blocked for a rushing offense that is averaging 226.5 yards per game to rank second in the Mid-American Conference and 17th in the nation. The Bulls have allowed a league-low eight sacks which ranks fourth in the country.
The starting offensive line is an experienced group that has started a combined 131 games. Left tackle Evin Ksiezarczyk has started 36 games, left guard Paul Nosworthy has started 23 games, center Mike Novitsky has started 10 games, right tackle Tomas Jack-Kurdyla has started 38 games and right tackle Kayode Awosika has started 24 games. In addition, guard Jacob Gall has seen significant action, including six starts.
The Joe Moore Award is named after Coach Joe Moore, widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football history. He is most notably recognized for his work at Notre Dame and the University of Pittsburgh. Coach Moore sent 52 players on to the NFL, including Bill Fralic, Mark May, Russ Grimm, Jimbo Covert and others.
