
Bulls Fall At Akron, 4-3

AKRON, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team had its two-match winning streak snapped on Saturday morning with a narrow 4-3 loss at Akron.
The Zips took the doubles point with wins at first and third doubles as they staked themselves out to the early 1-0 lead. The teams were able to split the six singles matchups beginning with a win at fourth singles as junior Laura Holterbosch claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win.
UB then picked up a pair of wins from freshmen as Chantal Martinez Blanco won at third singles 6-4, 7-6 (3) and Sanjana Sudhir picked up a three-set win at fifth singles 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
The Bulls, who have already clinched a spot in the upcoming MAC Tournament, close out the regular season next Sunday, Apr. 24 at Bowling Green.
