
UB Women's Tennis Edged at Duquesne, 4-3

PITTSBURGH, PA – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York women's tennis team fell to host Duquesne, 4-3, Friday at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center. The Dukes (6-4) secured the doubles point and split singles matches with the Bulls (2-4).
Sophomore Margarita Kotok picked up a straight-set sweep of Spencer Caravaggio, 6-2, 6-2, at second singles. Junior Dayana Agasieva dominated the first and third sets to outlast Alexa Miller, 6-0, 4-6, 6-1, at the number three spot. Sophomore Laura Holterbosch defeated Megan Wasson, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, at fifth singles. Freshman Tanja Stojanovska was narrowly defeated, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3, at top singles.
The Bulls will host Niagara Sunday at Miller Tennis Center at 1 pm.
