
UB Women's Tennis Aces Youngstown State, 6-1

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York women's tennis team snapped a three-match skid on Saturday defeating Youngstown State 6-1 at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls (2-3) won both doubles matches that were played in convincing fashion, surrendering just one game to the Penguins (5-6). Sophomore Margarita Kotok paired with junior Dayana Agasieva for a 6-1 win at first doubles, while sophomore Laura Holterbosch and senior Laura Fernandez paired to blank YSU, 6-0, at second doubles.
Kotok edged Annina Brendel, 7-5, 6-2, at second singles to lead UB. Fernandez added a 6-4, 6-0 win at number three singles over Nehel Sahni and Holterbosch secured the fourth singles victory against Sofia Macias Mendoza, 6-1, 6-4.
UB won third doubles and fifth and sixth singles by forfeit.
The Bulls will travel to Pittsburgh on Friday to face Duquesne in non-conference action at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.
