On Monday the USTFCCCA released their latest regional rankings. After a strong showing at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational, the men's team rose six spots to ninth overall in the northeast regional rankings, while the women enter the regional rankings for the first time this season at 14th.
The latest regional rankings come on the heels of historic performances for both the men's and women's teams at the Leigh Paul Short Invitational that included multiple personal records and top-ten all-time performances. The teams will have two weeks to prepare for pre-Nationals at Univeristy of Louisville. This is the first time Buffalo will compete at this event.
Two weeks after pre-nationals both teams will compete at the MAC Championships hosted by Akron. This year's race will be run on a new course.
There are opportunities for the both teams to shine in October as they prepare for regionals and possibly nationals in November. They have progressed well overall and now face more tough challenges at both pre-Nationals and MAC Championships coming up within the next four weeks.
