10/12/2015 12:00:00 AM | Women's Volleyball
BUFFALO, NY - UB Athletics will hosts it's inaugural #SpiritDay event on Friday, October 16 as the volleyball team hosts Western Michigan at 7:00 pm at Alumni Arena.
#SpiritDay is a nationally recognized event in order to take a stance against bullying and support the LGBTQ community. Beginning in 2010, #SpiritDay has grown exponentially and is now recognized and supported by numerous organizations ranging from professional sports (such as NBA, WNBA, MLS) to global media outlets (such as NBC, CBS, MTV, ABC). It is a day where we stand up together by wearing purple to show our support for the LGBTQ community and take a stand against bullying.
Ed Drantch from Channel 7 will serve as the emcee for the evening, who will be hosting an evening full of giveaways and activities!
Tickets are available for purchase at the event and by wearing purple you are eligible to receiving your ticket for a special discounted price of $5.
Please join us as we stand up to bullying and show our support to our Buffalo LGBTQ community.
