
UB Cross Country Places 11 on Academic All-MAC Team

BUFFALO, NY – Eleven University at Buffalo, The State University of New York cross country student-athletes received Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors announced Monday afternoon. The women's squad placed six on the All-MAC team, while the men added five.
Bulls Corinne Birchard, Chrissy Clarkin, Meagan Hopkins, Bailey Kemp, Gabby Leo and Elizabeth Mansfield earned recognition on the women's all-academic team, while Pier Berkmans, Brian Crimmins, Barrett Kemp, Tyler Scheving and Lloyd Webb were named to the men's team.
For the third straight year, the women raced to a seventh-place finish out of 12 teams at the MAC Championships on Nov. 1st. The team concluded its season with a 19th-place finish out of 40 teams at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Nov. 14.
The men's team finished fourth out of nine teams at MACs, its second-best showing in program history, and went on to place 14th at regionals.
Track & field competition will commence on Jan. 16 with the Gotham Cup held at the Armory in New York City.
