
UB Men's Tennis Improves to 2-0 at Army Kickoff, Sweeps Boston College

WEST POINT, NY – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's tennis team upended ACC opponent Boston College 7-0 Saturday afternoon at the Army Kickoff at Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The Bulls (4-2) went 6-0 in singles action and won two of three doubles matches against the Eagles (1-3).
Senior Damien David and junior Amar Hromic outlasted BC at first doubles, 7-6, and junior Akhil Mehta and freshman Noah Hajdu-Andersson posted a 6-3 victory at the third position.
David added a 6-4, 6-2 win in the top singles spot over Phillip Nelson. Senior Sebastian Ionescu defeated Aidan McNulty, 7-5, 6-1, at second singles and junior Pablo Alvarez secured a third-singles win of 6-3, 6-2 over Hank Workman.
Junior Sergio Arevalillo snuck out a 6-2, 7-6 victory against Kyle Childree at number four singles. At the fifth position, sophomore Jonathan Hannestad tallied a 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 victory against Kent Mukai. Hajdu-Andersson closed out sixth singles defeating Will Turner, 6-4, 7-5.
The Bulls will conclude play at the Army Kickoff Sunday playing 69th-ranked Central Florida.
