Nine UB Football Recruits to Play in All-Star Games

BUFFALO, NY - Nine members of the incoming 2012 Buffalo football recruiting class will be wrapping up their respective high school careers with a chance to play in state-wide All-Star games.
Of the nine, five players will be participating in the prestigious Eddie Meath All-Star Football Game. Now in its 30th season, the game features the very best players in Western New York. The game will pit "upstate" players against "downstate" players and a few future Bulls will get a chance to play on the same team and meet their future collegiate teammates.
On defense for the upstate team, Corey Madlock (DL - Cleveland Hill, NY) will not be participating in the game but received an invitation after he was named second-team All-WNY as a junior and honorable mention All-State but lost his senior season to injury.
On offense, Jaden Cotton (OL – Depew, NY) - a second-team All-State and All-WNY honoree for Depew High School – will anchor the upstate team's offensive line. Igniting the offense will be a pair of athletes who already have the UB fans excited for their futures. Sweet Home's Jordan Johnson (RB/WR) and Gates-Chili's Marcus McGill (WR) will be leading what should be a high-powered offense. Johnson was the Class-A State Player of the Year as both a junior and senior and a first-team All-WNY and All-State honoree. McGill was a second-team All-State selection and was a three-time All-County selection.
In Ohio, another pair of future Bulls will be teaming up, with Tyler Grassman (Punter – Gahanna Lincoln, OH) and Malcolm Robinson (WR – Canton McKinley, OH) participating in the Big 33 game. The game features 33 elite players from Ohio who will take on 33 elite players from Pennsylvania. Grassman played quarterback, safety, wide receiver, punter and kicker his senior season and was named Ohio Capital Conference Player of the Year and first team All District. Robinson was an All-League, All-County and All-State selection and will also play in the North vs. South Ohio All-Star game.
Another incoming recruit from the Buckeye state already showcased his talent in an All-Star game. Mason Schreck (Medina, OH) projects as a tight end when he arrives on campus, but at the Akron vs. Cleveland All-Star game this past Thanksgiving, he did a little bit of everything to lead the Akron All-Star team, serving as the team's quarterback and punter. Despite the team's 19-14 setback to the Cleveland team, Schreck threw a touchdown pass and had another called back on a holding penalty.
Waylon Fink (LB - Greensburg Salem, PA) will be participating in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) East vs. West game. Fink was named All-Conference on both sides of the ball as a defensive end and a tight end, but will be shifting to linebacker at UB. He accumulated 15 sacks, 26.5 tackles for loss and accounted for three defensive touchdowns, and Pittsburgh Tribune Review named him to the "Terrific 25".
The full 19-member recruiting class will report to football camp in August.
