
Bulls Swept By Indiana In Weekend Finale

BLOOMINGTON, IN – The University at Buffalo volleyball team concluded play at the IU Volleyball Classic on Saturday night with a 3-0 loss to the host Indiana at the University Gym. The loss evens Buffalo's record to 3-3 on the year.
The Hoosiers took the match 25-14, 25-18, 25-12 as they hit .376 for the match, including a 15-kill performance on 15 swings from Samantha Thrower. The Bulls struggled most of the night, hitting just .093 for the match.
Abby Niekamp led the way with eight kills, while Dana Musil and Liz Scott each added five kills. Both Musil and Scott were named to the All-Tournament Team following the completion of the weekend. Dani Reinert added 22 assists, while Kelly Svoboda had a team-high 13 digs. Sophomore Carissa McKenna had a team-high three total blocks.
The Bulls will be back in action next weekend when it heads to St. John's for a weekend tournament. The Bulls open play against Brown on Friday at 6:00 pm.
