Four weeks have gone by and the team is going strong!
Along the way we have learned a lot about ourselves and our new teammates. Some of us sleep walk through the dorms, others despise using spoons at meals. We are an interesting bunch to say the least. After three weeks of preseason we had our first tournament at Colgate. The bus ride to the tournament was the first experience where our lone senior and "upper-underclassmen" enjoyed playing tricks on the eight newcomers, which is always entertaining! During the last hour and a half of the ride, we introduced Todd to one of the team's favorite movies, Mean Girls, where each of us shouted out our favorite lines. Our coaches love us! One of the next, most amusing moments off the court, was our adventure into the parking garage. WARNING: cars that exceed seven and a half feet should not enter. Our van was approximately one inch beneath that warning. We held our breath as we approached each rafter in the garage. One could hear our screams of anxiety and hilarity on every level. Don't worry - we made it in and out of the parking garage without any harm done. With every week comes a new adventure and we hope you will be a part of our journey! We have only shared a few of our adventures and we look forward to many more throughout our season. As always, GO BULLS!

We had a long bus ride to St John's, and besides the many hours of sleeping and catching up on homework there was, we had plenty of time to goof around. Sadly, there were no llama farms in sight like our trip to Colgate, but we definitely found ways to entertain ourselves. Our head coach, Todd Kress, found no such entertainment as we discovered him and his six and a half foot long body lying on the comfy bus aisle floor. Knowing that we are not the most graceful team at Buffalo, we were nervous to climb on the bus seats above our coach's head. What if we fell? What if he woke up? Thank goodness he is a heavy sleeper!

Hey there Bulls fans! This week's blog looks back at some memorable memories from the season so far.
Tuesday the 13th was our season home opener against Niagara. Guess what, we came out with a win! We played really well and beat them in 4 sets, which was huge as Niagara is a big cross town rival. One of the highlights of the night happened before the match, as we were in the locker room. Our setter, Dani Reinert, was freaking out because she said her ears were hot. What did she decide to do? Put her head in the fridge in hopes of cooling it down!
Thank you everyone for supporting us at our home opener! Our Blue and White Classic Tournament was also a hit! :)

- Friday, October 7 vs. Kent State at 7:00 p.m. – Join us for a bit of Oktoberfest fun! Arrive early for a free Bavarian soft pretzel and the opportunity to participate in a Black Forest Cake eating contest during intermission!
- Saturday, October 8th vs. Ohio at 6:00pm – Show your ticket from the football game earlier that day and get in to the match for FREE!
