
Bulls To Host NCAA Northeast Cross Country Regionals

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics will be hosting the NCAA Northeast Cross Country Regionals for the first time this upcoming fall, one of nine schools that will help make the field for the 2011 Cross Country National Championships.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 12 at the Amherst Audubon Golf Course. The men's 10k race will take place at 12:00 pm, while the women's 6k will follow at 1:15. The event will feature 40 of the top cross country programs in the Northeast and is free to the public.
"We are very excited to be able to host the Northeast Regionals and bring one of the highest level cross country meets to the Buffalo area," said head cross country and women's track and field head coach Vicki Mitchell. "It is especially exciting to compete at home for the UB student-athletes as well as locally based athletes attending other schools."
Parking will be at UB Stadium with fans able to take shuttle buses to the starting lines at the course. The Amherst Audubon Golf Course is located at 500 Maple Road in Amherst.
