
Liz Scott Named To All-MAC Freshman Team

BUFFALO, NY – Freshman outside hitter Liz Scott was named to the All-MAC Freshman Team, the conference office announced on Thursday afternoon. Scott was one of six first-year players named to the list.
Scott finished second on the team with 280 kills and led the team in hitting percentage at .252. She was also third on the squad with 176 digs and tied for third with 23 service aces. The Canadaigua, NY native finished with double figures in kills on 15 different occasions, including a career-high 20 early in the year against Colgate. She had double figures in kills in six of the last seven match of the year.
"This is a tremendous honor for Liz and one that is well deserved," said head coach Todd Kress. "She continued to improve all season and this is just a testament to her hard work."
Scott continues a stretch of three straight seasons that a UB player has been honored in the postseason.
