ROCHESTER, NY – The University at Buffalo cross country squads sent a limited number of individuals to Saturday's Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College as the UB women won the team title.
UB's women's squad, which rested many of its top runners, won the team title with 44 points with Rochester placing second at 60 points in the 11-team meet. UB was the only Division I team in the field. The UB men sent only two runners to the meet, not enough for a full team, but both runners finished in the top six individually.

Sophomore Leah Wightman finished 27th in 20:49.51 and freshman Rachel Parker was 38th in 21:32.13. A total of 106 runners competed in the women's race with Mercyhurst's Cherie Jackson winning top honors in 18:39.03.
