
Bulls Fall In Three To Western Michigan, 3-0

KALAMAZOO, MI – The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team hit the road this weekend going to the MAC's west coast, however the Bulls were unable to sustain the momentum from last weekend's win as they fell at Western Michigan, 3-0, Friday night at University Arena.
The Broncos took the match 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 as they hit .292 for the match opposed to just .103 for the Bulls. The Broncos hit a match-high .367 in the first set and never looked back.
The Bulls were led by eight kills from senior Kayla Govier, who hit a team-high .389. Junior Abby Niekamp added seven kills, while Kristin Bignell had six. Both Lindsey Schlegel and Dani Reinert helped run the UB offense as Reinert led the way with 19 assists.
Defensively junior Heather Pyle had 16 digs, while freshman Dana Musil added 10. Freshman Christine Fritsche added nine digs and Kelly Svoboda had six. Reinert led the way in the blocking department with two solo blocks, despite playing just the final two sets.
The Bulls remain on the road tomorrow night when they head to Northern Illinois to take on the Huskies. The match is set for 8:00 pm eastern time.
