Brian Bratta joined the State University of New York at Buffalo in June of 2015. He serves as the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine and Wellness Services. His current role includes leading the sports medicine department in athlete care.
Prior to joining the staff in Buffalo, Brian served as an athletic trainer at Michigan State University for 7 years with the baseball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, rowing, dance and cheer teams.  He also was a part of the athletic training education program instructing athletic training students.
Bratta also serves as a volunteer athletic trainer for the United States Olympic Committee and has traveled with multiple teams representing the U.S.A including the Paralympic Pan Am Games and the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England.
Originally from Illinois, Brian completed his undergraduate studies at Augustana College and received his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University in 2004 and his PhD in 2014. He and his wife, Anna, have two daughters, Teagan and Tenley.
