After an outstanding collegiate career, Tiffany Regdos joinedthe UB coaching staff in 2010, specializing in the pole vault, andnow is in her fourth season.
Under her guidance during the 2012-13 season, sophomore CraigHoward broke both the indoor (16’0.75) and outdoor(16’0.75) school records, while the women’s polevaulting squad saw the most successful year ever with threeathletes qualifying for both the indoor and outdoor MACChampionships and Kelly Truppo qualifying for the NCAA PreliminaryRound.
Regdos ended her college career in 2010 by making her secondstraight trip to the NCAA Championships in the pole vault. She wonthe Mid-American Conference title in the event as the onlycompetitor to clear 13-4.50 (4.08m) in the event. At the NCAA EastPreliminary Round, she was one of seven athletes to clear 13-1.50(4.00m). She was also honored as a member of the Indoor and OutdoorAcademic All-MAC Teams and was named to the ESPN The MagazineAcademic All-District Second Team.
The Western New York native graduated from Iroquois High School.As a scholastic vaulter, she set the national high school recordsin the indoor (13-5.25, 4.10m) and outdoor (14-0, 4.27m) vaults.Regdos was the third US junior woman to clear 14 feet.
