Jake Shaver begins his first season as Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports. He will primarily work with the women’s basketball and track and field teams.
Shaver comes to UB from the University of Tulsa where he was an athletic performance assistant working with the men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s golf and rowing teams.
Prior to Tulsa he spent one season as an assistant strength coach at Loyola Chicago, working with women’s soccer, softball and track and field and before that, served as a sports performance assistant at Valparaiso University, working with women’s soccer and softball.
Shaver has also worked at Wichita State, Ohio State and Clemson.
A 2015 graduate from Toledo with a degree in exercise science, Shaver earned his master’s in exercise science from Wichita State in 2020.
