2011-12: Played in ten games, averaging 4.6 minutes per game... scored her first collegiate points by sinking a pair of free throws against Duquesne (11/14)... played a season-high ten minutes in the Mid-American Conference tournament against Akron (3/3).
High School: Earned four letters and was captain for two seasons at Academy of the Holy Angels… averaged 11 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals per game as a senior to lead the team to a 27-7 record… was named 2nd Team All-County… played for three different AAU teams in eight years; All New Jersey Elite, the NJ Gymrats and the Rockland Rockets.
Personal: Born January 17, 1993… daughter of Courtney and Karen Besley… has three sisters, Kareema, Kourtney and Keionna… will major in physical therapy… also enjoys playing soccer and lacrosse… her favorite music genre is hip hop and R&B, with her favorite artists being J. Cole, Trey Songs and Kanye West, among others… chose Buffalo over Vermont, La Salle, Marshall, St. Bonaventure, St. Joe’s, UMass and many others due to the coaching staff, the academic program and the general atmosphere… lists Dwayne Wade and Allen Iverson as her greatest athletic influences… would like to break the assists and steals record at Buffalo… her goal is to win the MAC and go to the NCAA tournament.
