Sophomore (2023-24): Joined the all-time UB indoor record books with a personal best 300-meter dash time of 35.89 at the SPIRE Midwest Invite...set an outdoor 400-meter dash personal record time of 49.27 at the Bison Outdoor Classic...recorded personal record outdoor 200-meter dash time of 22.61 at the University of Rochester Alumni Invite...indoor 200-meter dash (23.31), 400-meter dash (50.11) and 100-meter run (2:32.28) personal record times were set at Akron.
Freshman (2022-23): Did not compete.
High School: Winter 2022 NYSPHSAA 600 meter state runner up ....New York State 800 runner up in spring...broke high school records in 4x400, 400mh, 600, 400...five-time county champion in track and field...two-time Long Island Champion in the 600m and 800m.
Personal: Parents are Erin and Tracy Smith...has one sibling, Leo...chose UB for the good mix of academics and athletics...inspired by people who aren’t afraid to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals…favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine, one of the most tenacious and aggressive runners of our time, was not afraid to hurt to get what he wanted…. enjoys playing football and hiking...favorite movie is Rango…. food he can’t live without burgers.
