Prior to Buffalo: Powell is a 6-4 guard out of Philadelphia, Pa. who is among Harcum's all-time leaders in scoring, assists and steals...He helped lead the team to a 32-3 record on the season and an appearance in the NJCAA Basketball Championship Quarterfinals..Powell averaged 13.5 points and 5.4 assists per game...He scored over 20 points seven times during the year, including a 30-point game against ASA New York...Powell averaged 17.4 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per contest during the 2020-21 season, where he was named a NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American...He scored 29 points against Allegheny Maryland and had six 20-point scoring performances...Prior to his two seasons at Harcum, Powell played one year at the Community College of Beaver County, where he averaged 14.1 points per game...His highlight that season came a day after his idol Kobe Bryant passed away, where he honored the NBA great by scoring 81 points in a game, intentionally air-balling his final free throw to match Bryant's greatest NBA scoring performance.
