Tom Fox begins his eighth season on the Buffalo staff and his fourth as Director of Basketball Operations. In his second season, he helped guide the Bulls to an appearance in the MAC Championship game and an NIT berth.
In his first four seasons at the University at Buffalo Fox served as Video Coordinator for the team, helping the Bulls to reach three NCAA Tournament appearances and three Mid-American Conference tournament championships, while also earning a pair of MAC regular season titles. In addition, Buffalo reached the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons.
Fox comes to UB after spending 2014-15 season as Video Coordinator at Wisconsin-Green Bay, where he helped the team reach the NIT Tournament.
Fox, oversaw all video coordination for men’s basketball at Green Bay, while also helping the coaching staff in day to day operations. In addition, he was responsible for breaking down advanced scouting film, player development and handling all film exchange throughout the season.
A 2014 graduate of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Communications, Fox was a student manager for the UWGB basketball teams that made the CIT in 2012-13. During the 2013-14 season Green Bay won the Horizon league regular season followed by receiving a berth in the NIT.
Prior to Wisconsin-Green Bay, Fox represented the English national team as a player for both Under 16s and Under 18’s and competed in 2 European Championships.
Fox also won 2 National championships and 2 National Cups for his club team the Manchester Magic.
In 2009 Fox played for the postgraduate team at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.
Born on March. 15, 1990, Fox comes from Cheshire, England. He is married to Kari Risley, a native of Madison, Wisc.
