Hoof Prints: Recruited as a linebacker, but made the move to defensive end in 2015... high school teammate of fellow Bulls Brandon Williams and Jordan Collier... major is international trade.
Redshirt-Freshman (2015): Appeared in 11 games as a reserve defensive end… had six tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble on the year… had two tackles, including a half sack against Albany (9/5)… had two tackles and his first career solo sack against Northern Illinois (11/11)… also registered a tackle against Nevada (9/26) and Massachusetts (11/27).
Freshman (2014): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: Came to Buffalo after an outstanding career at Lovejoy High School. Anyanwu led the defense all season long as a senior as he was named first-team All-Region and All-County. He also earned second-team All-State for his dominance as a senior. Anyanwu is also a three-time state finalist for the discus throw as a part of his high school’s track and field team. He holds the school’s all-time record for the discus throw.
