Hoof Prints: Speedy receiver who has played an important reserve role over the last three seasons... father was a standout running back at Grand Valley State... major is business administration.
Junior (2016): Played in all 12 games and started twice… ranked sixth on the team in receiving with 18 catches for 175 yards… had one touchdown on the year… had a season-best four catches against Army (9/24) and Northern Illinois (10/22)… had three catches for 42 yards and his first career touchdown at Bowling Green (11/25)… had a pair of receptions against both Kent State (10/8) and Ball State (10/15)… recorded a catch in eight games on the season.
Sophomore (2015): Appeared in nine games as a wide receiver and on special teams… did not register a catch, but did have two tackles on special teams.
Redshirt-Freshman (2014): Appeared in 10 games as a reserve wide receiver and on special teams… had four catches for 89 yards on the season… returned two punts for 20 yards… had his first career catch, 12 yards, at Army (9/6)… had two receptions for 59 yards, including a season-best 33-yarder against Baylor (9/12)… had an 18-yard reception against Akron (11/11).
Freshman (2013): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: Eiland is a multi-purpose athlete who played at Plymouth High School in Canton, MI. Playing at quarterback and wide receiver at various points, he totaled 1,600 combined yards through the passing game and in the running game. As a junior, he was a primary receiver who led the team with 28 receptions, seven touchdowns and over 400 yards receiving. After moving to quarterback to fully utilize his athleticism in a run-first offense, Eiland helped the team win 17 games in his junior and senior seasons, culminating in a District Championship win as a senior. A four-year varsity letter winner in football as well as baseball, Eiland is a Michigan Top 60 Blue Chip member and also is National Honors Society participant and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
