Previous School: Spent two seasons at Tennessee-Martin, playing first base for coach Bubba Cates... OVC Commissioner''s Honor Roll... appeared in eight games as a freshman, batting .250 with two walks and three RBI... did not play in 2012.
High School: Earned three letters and served as captain for three years on the William Aberhart football team, serving as the team''s quarterback (the school did not have a baseball program)... set the school record for touchdowns thrown, leading the team to a 10-1 record as a senior... earned six other letters in high school, playing on the school''s basketball, soccer, and track teams... MVP in football twice, Offensive Player of the Year once, and city all star as a quarterback, and MVP twice in basketball... played Summer ball for the Calgary Redbirds for three years, and the USA Selects out of Arizona... led the Redbirds in home runs and slugging percentage.
Personal: Born October 20, 1991... son of James and Michelle... has one brother, Adam... majoring in psychology and sociology... career goal is to become a sports psychologist and personal trainer... hobbies include paintball, playing video games, and singing/acting... his great uncle Mickey Scott pitched for a number of major league teams, his dad played football for Duke, his uncle played basketball for Georgia Tech, and his brother plays rugby for the University of Calgary... greatest athletic experience was winning the championship as the team captain and starting quarterback during his senior year in honor of their coach that died two days before the first game of the season, and getting to present it to the coach''s family
