
Women’s Tennis Signs Aleksandra Kachushkina

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's tennis head coach Kristen Maines has announced the signing of Aleksandra Kachushkina to the roster for the 2026-27 season.
A native of Moscow, Russia, Kachuskina has made a steady rise through the international ranks over the last few years. In singles play, she was a quarterfinalist at the J60 event in Prague in May and in 2025 she was semifinalist at the J60 and J100 events in Chenjdu, a semifinalist at the J60 event in Dubai and a quarterfinalist at the J30 event in Namangan. She is also an accomplished doubles player, earning semifinalist honors at the J60 event in Fergana and advancing to the quarterfinals at the J60 events in Istanbul and Andijan and the J100 events in Namangan and Fergana.
Off the court, she is a well-rounded individual who speaks multiple languages and has an interest in both science and art and is a talented pianist.
Maines on Kachushkina: "I am extremely excited to have Aleksandra join our Bulls family this fall. Her international match experience, solid results, strong work ethic and goal oriented mindset will make an immediate impact within our team!"
